Community Consultation Meeting:
Proposed Enrolment Scheme at Milson School
Te Tāhuhu o te Mātauranga| The Ministry of Education is working in collaboration with the Milson
School Board to develop an enrolment scheme for Milson School under section 72(1) of the
Education and Training Act 2020.
The purpose of any enrolment scheme is to:
• avoid the likelihood of overcrowding
• ensure that the selection of applicants for enrolment is fair and transparent
• enable the Secretary of Education to make the best use of the existing network of state schools
Together with the Milson School Board, and the boards of neighbouring schools, a proposed
enrolment scheme has been drafted and can be viewed on the Milson School website or at the
school’s office.
As part of this process, we would like to consult with the school community and with people living in
the area for which the school is a reasonably convenient school. We are therefore holding a
Community Consultation Meeting at 3:45pm on Thursday 26 June 2025 at Milson School.
To help us with planning, could you please advise the Milson School Office on 06 358 5204 if you are
attending. If you are unable to personally attend the meeting, or would prefer to respond via e-mail,
please feel free to comment or ask questions by e-mailing John Dale, Senior Advisor Network via:
